Wedding Invitations

I can finally show you some wedding stationary I've been working on. I produced bespoke Save the Dates, Invitations and Orders of Service.

I have to say it has been incredibly fun and something I would love to do again. So, if you are currently looking for wedding stationary and want something a little bit different, something that is personal to you and that will reflect you as a couple, then look no further... commission me to design your perfect invitations!

Here are some snaps of the Save the Dates.
I linocut the design, then hand printed the designs onto recycled card.

For the Invitations I designed a fold out poster invitation, a bit like an OS map!

For the outside design I took the idea of the ball of string from the Save the Dates and turned it into a little logo/crest using the couples initials and turned that into a repeat pattern.

I also used their silhouettes.

Maps and directions...

Inside the invitation...

The Order of Service.
I took the logo design and altered it for the cover and turned the silhouettes into end papers (Small sample).

Cheltenham Open Studios 2013

It's Cheltenham open studio's starting this saturday and I've been asked by Jeweller, Laure Filho to share a space with her and a few others at New Brewery Arts, Cirencester.

A little bit of a confusing choice of venue, I know, as it is 'Cheltenham' open stuido's, but it is a nice big space to fit us all in! Our joint exhibition will be starting from Monday 11th until Sunday 23rd June. Please see attached flyer for details!

Sue Ryder's 60th Anniversary Exhibition

To celebrate their 60th Anniversary, my local Sue Ryder shop has organised an exhibition. It will display a wide range of art work, which has all been donated to raise money for the local Leckhampton Court Hospice.
I popped into the shop last week and donated the print above.

The event is being held at The Parabola Arts Centre in Cheltenham. The preview evening is Tuesday 21st May from 7pm onwards, and the exhibition runs until the 25th May. So if you are in the Cheltenham area, why not pop along and support your local hospice. You can both brighten up your walls with a new piece of art work, as well as helping Leckhampton Court, which I know does wonderful work in this area.

Bowery - Leeds

I currently have my new house prints on display in the shop at The Bowery in Leeds... as well as the new cards. If you are in the Headingley area, why not pop along, have a coffee and peruse the treats on display. They sell all kinds of beautiful artwork, homewares and jewellery. It's worth a peek!

Now available online...

a happy side (as well)

My lovely friend Kate Soper, a Perfoming Arts Teacher at Hammersmith Academy, London, is currently working on a new performance piece with some of her students for this years Edinburgh Festival!

She asked me if I would take a look at jazzing up their flyer and produce some typography for the front and a bit of an image for the back. I was given the above photo, and a bit of info on what they were doing. Memory, childhood and kits were the things that stuck out for me.  For more information on what they are up to, why not take look at their website! a happy side (as well)

Above pictured are both the front of the flyer with my hand drawn text (and sketchy kite!) and the back  showing the pattern I made using the kite sketch. They will use this as a background for information about the show.
